The board here at Project Left have got together and decided on who we endorse for the special elections in Virginia tomorrow. Here they are:
For the 8th House of Delegates District, we endorse Ginger Mumpower. Ginger has prior political experience; she served on the Radford City Council. She has shown fiscal responsibility by owning her own business for many years. She has already said that she would uphold many liberal values. Ginger supports our teachers, whom are the foundation of this society. She has many new great ideas, she wants to expand passenger rail service to Roanoke, which would most surely be a huge boost to our tourism economy. Another great reason is that she is not a lawyer, Richmond is filled with lawyers and it needs less.
Best of all, Ginger is not Greg Habeeb whom has shown time and time again that he will lie about anything and that he is only a little puppet for his big time Republican friends. Sure Habeeb will tell you what you want to hear one day, but the next when another person wants to hear the opposite, he'll tell them that. Greg Habeeb has said over and over again that he is bi-partisan, but all of his yard signs say "Republican for Delegate" and all of his endorsements and campaign appearances have been from and with big time GOP members. Ginger has many endorsements from Republicans across the 8th District. Most people who went to the forum with the Salem PTA got to see first hand just how narcissistic and demeaning Greg Habeeb is. Habeeb thinks is a god, but I think most people know otherwise. So tomorrow, Vote Ginger Mumpower for 8th District House of Delegates.
For the 19th District Senate seat, we endorse a write-in of any person other than the two candidates who are running. Both candidates are cookie-cutter Republicans, do not let Hank Davis's democratic label convince you that he holds up liberal values. So in the 19th Senate District, write-in anyone but the two candidates.
